Tune in to On the Way to the Peak of Normal tonight for a live performance from The Cincinnati Tape Deck Orchestra conducted by Satyr Oz... 4 tape decks with effects, two mixers, one keyboard, one microphone, ... yet this is a collaboration with whomever happens to be recorded on the tapes that Satyr Oz has dug up from deep within the Sothis Medias archives.... all homemade music recorded on... you guessed it... tape, mixed to order, served to trip. This show is dedicated to Dr. Albert Hoffman, may he rest in peace. I first started making collage-found sound-appropriation mixes on tapes when I was 16 years old to be used as soundtracks for my psychedelic voyages... tonight they will be presented as a metacollage with much tweaking and intermodulation, a chance operation at the radio station.
